Where I come for in-home training

My in-home personal training covers a wide stretch of the East Bay, from San Ramon, Dublin, and Pleasanton up through Danville, Alamo, Blackhawk, and Diablo. I also regularly train clients based around Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, and Moraga.

Wherever you are in Contra Costa, Lamorinda, or the Tri-Valley, we can find a time and routine that works for you.

Who this is for

  • Busy women 30+

I spent 7 years as a product designer at Snap, Spotify and Uber, so I get the calendar. We schedule around work, kids and travel, and when you're away, I program your workouts in our app so you don't lose a week.

  • Beginners to seasoned lifters

Whether you're picking up a dumbbell for the first time or looking to break a plateau, we build a customized plan that challenges you appropriately.

  • Working around an injury

A cranky knee or an old injury won't derail your progress. I have a Doctor of Physical Therapy on my team who can assess you and build a custom rehab plan to keep you moving safely.

  • Perimenopause & menopause

Your body changes, and your training should too. Strength training and protein become such valuable tools. We'll adjust your programming to support exactly what your body needs during this time.

  • Fat loss without crash dieting

Lose fat and keep your muscle. We focus on sustainable nutrition so you can build a great physique without sacrificing the foods you love, whether you're an omnivore, vegetarian, or vegan. (I'll also never ask you to give up chocolate.)

How it works

  1. Book a free 15-min call. We'll chat about your goals, your schedule, and any nagging aches. Then we'll figure out whether The Lab Gym or in-home training fits you best.
  2. Assessment & first session. We kick off with a movement assessment, so I can see how you move and what feels good, then we train together and master the basics.
  3. Your weekly sessions. We set a weekly session schedule that works for both of us. Your plan evolves as you get stronger, and it adjusts when life gets busy.

In-person training questions

All questions

Can I book one session first?

Yes, you can book a trial session. Most people start with a free 15-minute call so we can make sure it's a good fit.

I've never lifted before. Is this for me?

Yes! Every client starts where they are. In person, we start with a movement assessment and I'm right beside you for every rep until lifting feels like yours. No crazy exercises. We master the basics.

Can I combine in-person sessions with online coaching?

Yes, and lots of clients do. We train together in person, and I program the workouts you do on your own the rest of the week in our app, so every day has a plan.

Where is The Lab Gym, and where do I park?

The Lab Gym is at 2600 Hooper Dr, San Ramon, CA 94583. Parking is easy, and there's no gym fee when you're there training with me.

Will a personal trainer come to my house?

Yes! I come to you in Danville, Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, San Ramon, Dublin and Pleasanton. In-home sessions are $130–160 and sessions at The Lab are $100–140, and packages bring the price per session down. I'm in these towns often, so we'll find a time that works for both of us.

What equipment do I need at home?

Just a simple setup. We train with what you have at home. If you don't have much yet, I'll help you choose a few basics before we start.

What happens in the first session?

We start with a movement assessment so I can see how you move, what feels good and what doesn't. Then we train together, learn the basics and set your weekly session schedule.

How many days a week should I work out with a trainer?

It depends on your goals, your schedule and your budget, and we'll figure it out together on your free call. Most clients train with me in person 2–4 times a week; others come in once a week and do the rest of their workouts on their own.

Can a personal trainer help me lose weight?

Yes, and without crash dieting. The goal is to lose fat while keeping your muscle, so you look and feel stronger, not just smaller. We pair strength training with sustainable, protein-forward nutrition built around foods you actually enjoy, and adjust as you progress.

What if I have an injury?

I have a Doctor of Physical Therapy on my team (fully virtual!). Cranky knee? Old injury? Pulled your hamstring? He'll assess you and build a rehab plan right in our app, so a tweak doesn't derail your progress.
